Melba Maggay (Philippines) has been involved in INFEMIT since its early beginnings, after the Lausanne gathering in 1974. She is well known for her work and writing in the area of gospel and culture, especially as relates to her home context of the Philippines. Along with several colleagues, Melba founded the Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture (ISACC), “a research and training organization specializing in development, missiology and cross-cultural studies aimed at social transformation within the Asian context” (ISACC.net). She also participated in the framing of the Micah Declaration (2001) and serves as the President of Micah Global. For this series, we seek to learn about the work of INFEMIT members from those who they have journeyed with and mentored. We thank Fhabi Fajardo for collaborating with us to create this piece.
