As our world continues to face the realities of institutionalized racism and systemic injustice, it is important that we continually reflect and listen to the stories of people in diverse contexts around the globe.
Here, we have one such opportunity. Please take a few minutes to read: An Open Letter from One Banana Republican to another Banana Republican, by James Padilla DeBorst, originally published in the Journal of Latin American Theology. In this article, James highlights important historical and current realities in the context of Central America that are especially linked to life in the “north” and the decisions of the United States government.
