On February 26, 2015, Lily Artola de Escobar took leave of this world to continue her life with her Lord. A faithful companion to her husband, Samuel Escobar, for almost 60 years, Lilly is remembered as a dedicated mother who also opened her home to countless university students in her native Perú, Brazil, Argentina, Canada and the United States. Her warm hospitality earned her the nickname “Mama Lily,” a term coined initially by the children to whom she ministered in Lima’s women jail. In 2001 the couple moved to Valencia, Spain, where Lily served with Misión Urbana before being diagnosed with Alzheimer.
INFEMIT invites friends around the world to thank God for Lily’s life and her dedication to God’s work in God’s world and to pray for comfort and encouragement to her husband, Samuel, her children, Lily Esther and Alejandro, their spouses, and her three grandchildren.
