As we look back on 2023, there is much to celebrate! Join us in reviewing the initiatives of INFEMIT for the past year (Stott-Bediako Forum, strengthening a global movement, Faith and Life, and our academic projects) and praying for the work that lies ahead in 2024.

A call to lament and reject violence, to listen deeply and to seek peace

In the face of unfolding violence in Palestine-Israel we, the International Fellowship for Mission as Transformation – INFEMIT, deeply lament and reject violence on all sides of the conflict; we are burdened by the loss of life; and we call followers of Jesus around the world to pursue peace and listen humbly to the voices of the suffering and the oppressed in the land.

We are very grateful to share this brief summary of our work over the past year. We thank God for significant opportunities to serve individuals and communities of faith as we, together, seek to embody the Kingdom of God through transformational engagement, both locally and globally. Now, as we enter into 2023, we also pray for God’s guidance and provision as we continue our work and seek to grow in the year ahead.

INFEMIT’s 2022 Stott-Bediako Forum had often been referred to as a “journey.” This turned out to be an accurate metaphor in many senses. As we reflect, it is our joy to share with you about the companions who joined us; the joys and challenges we faced; the unexpected surprises and hospitality on the way; and the unfinished path that we continue to explore.

In this conversation (originally recorded in November of 2020), Al Tizon reflects on COVID-19 in the U.S. and global mission contexts. Now, in mid 2021, it is apparent that it is necessary to continue these conversations in order to reflect on the role of the Church during the pandemic and what mission looks like in the midst of today’s realities.
