Grieving the Loss of Dr. Paul Joshua

PaulJoshuaINFEMIT joins the family and friends of Dr. Paul Joshua in grieving his recent passing. We also celebrate his life. Paul was a dear colleague and friend. He was an inspiration in the way he passionately sought to follow Jesus Christ in his life and ministry. We especially uphold Paul’s family in prayer during this time.

Read on for more details from Ian Payne, Principal of the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies:

“Dr Paul Joshua passed away last night after nearly two years of struggle with diabetes-related kidney failure… Along with his steady faith in God, he has always maintained a vital interest in people around him and issues in theology, longing to get back into the classroom. It wasn’t to be. Two days ago, he called his family to his bedside to say farewell.

Several staff and faculty and I were able to be with Sumi and the family at the hospital for a while shortly after he passed away. Sumi was comforted to see Paul’s face was so peaceful. Indeed, he is no longer in pain, he is in the arms of his Lord. Pray for the family during this time. The funeral will be held on Monday or Tuesday next…

Pray for the Sumi, Sithara, Tharika, Ben and the wider family as they grieve for a husband and a father. Pray that the care of community and gravity and joy of the funeral will be a testimony to Paul and to the gospel he loved and served.”
